The Assumption Public School, Antonykkad is a catholic educational institution owned and managed by the Religious of the Assumption of the Indian Province. The Assumption Public school, Antonykkad (Thelpara) is a newly born Educational institution of the province of India. The congregation of the Religious of the Assumption was founded in 1839, in Paris, France. It was founded by St. Marie Eugenie Milleret. The education proposed by St.Marie Eugenie is one that aims at the transformation of the whole human person and of the society. The Assumption education focuses on character formation, academic excellence and social commitment. We impart quality education which is relevant to the changing needs of our society. Thus the transformative education is not only directed to children but it also includes parents and other members of family. Now the congregation is spread in 32 countries. The “Assumption Public school” is situated in a village surrounded by natural beauty, a beautiful river and mountains. The school was started in 2012. At present the school has Classes till VIII. The students study, play, and grow in the lap of nature. They hear the song of the river, breathe fresh and uncontaminated air and are free from any kinds of pollution. As they are away from the city, they are not much exposed to city life and its dangers. Nature is our Mother. We form an integral part of its health and life. From the early stage onwards we teach the students how to take care and protect our mother Earth. In our system of education eco friendliness occupies an important part. And we transmit this value in different ways.
